Dr. McElroy earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Albion College and completed his Doctorate of Medicine at Michigan State University. Both his internship and residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) were served at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He is board certified in PM&R and Electrodiagnostic Medicine (EMG/NCS).

For over 18 years, Dr. McElroy has approached the practice of PM&R with a dynamic mix of passion and curiosity to both treat his patients and lead change within the specialty. He has served as the past president of the Michigan Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (MAPM&R). During his tenure as MAPM&R President, Dr. McElroy put forth significant time and effort in helping to pass Michigan legislature to designate electromyography as a medical procedure.

Dr. McElroy chose PM&R to make a significant difference in the lives of his patients. He enjoys that the specialty offers the opportunity to continuously grow and offer treatment that provides his patients with relief and increased function.

Dr. McElroy lives in Birmingham with his wife and four children.
