Dr. Michaels earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan and Doctor of Medicine degree from Wayne State University. After completing a year of residency at the University of Michigan in anesthesiology, she realized she could help her patient’s mer effectively manage their pain and improve their function through the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation.
After graduating from the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan/Detroit Medical Center’s physical medicine and rehabilitation residency, where she served as Chief Resident, Dr. Michaels accepted a position at RPPC. She continued her training and completed an interventional fellowship with rehabilitation physicians.
Dr. Michaels enjoys the field of PM&R because it allows her to help people maximize their function and enjoy their lives to the fullest.
