Christopher Luring, DO is a board certified physician in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He received his medical education from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine following the receipt of his Bachelors Degree in pre physical therapy from the University of Toledo, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. While earning his medical degree, Dr. Luring assisted injured victims during the Hurricane Katrina relieve effort. He completed his internship at Botsford Hospital where he served as Chief Intern. He continued his training at The University of Michigan where he finished residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He has conducted research studies while at U of M and assisted in a pilot study assessing the differences shoe insoles can have on heat generation and shear forces in those with diabetes. This has been published in The Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology. He also completed a case report on a unique spinal fracture in a healthy male.
Prior to his work with Rehabilitation Physicians PC, Dr. Luring served as a staff physician at McLaren Oakland, St. Joseph Mercy Oakland and Select Specialty Hospital in Pontiac.
When not working, he enjoys church, working out and spending time with friends and family.
